The double faceted plexi-works of Baykam, represent a very interesting step in the development of his versatile art works. On one hand, those works have their paint bases coming from the transparent layers which are rooted in the late nineties. On the other, their compositions are typical Baykam works. But exactly like the Empty Frame, those works are hanging from the ceiling, floating freely in the middle of the exhibition space. They can be looked at 360O from both sides. The result is nom- identical reversal twin paintings.
They are the result not just of the meeting of the transparent ayers with the empty Frame, but also they come as an interesting cortinuity of the 4D’s, Baykam’s famous multi-layered lenticular works. The artist thus continues his endless search in the deplth of field of the artistic space.
